Huawei Nova 12 Series Chipset Details Leaked Ahead Of Launch

Huawei is gearing up to launch the Nova 12 series of smartphones in China on December 26. The lineup is expected to include Lite (Vitality Edition), Standard, Pro and Ultra variants. A lot of information about the Huawei Nova 12 series of phones has been leaked. Now, a day ahead of the launch, the processors of the upcoming offerings have been leaked courtesy of reliable digital chat station.

According to the leak, the Huawei Nova 12 Lite or Vitality Edition will be equipped with a Snapdragon 778 4G processor. Meanwhile, the Nova 12 Pro is said to be powered by the new Kirin 8000 SoC with support for 5G connectivity. This has been confirmed from an alleged leaked live image released today. The top-end Nova 12 Ultra is said to have the Kirin 9000 SL chipset onboard. It hasn’t powered any Huawei phones before but speculation hints at an underclocked version of the Kirin 9000S.

According to past rumours, the Huawei Nova 12 Pro and Ultra are expected to pack similar to each other. These include a 6.78-inch curved OLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 60MP + 8MP dual front camera and a 50MP OIS-enabled triple rear camera setup. Both the phones are said to come with support for two-way satellite communication technology. Additionally, the devices will support 100W fast charging.

Meanwhile, the Huawei Nova 12 Lite or Vitality Edition will have an OLED display with an integrated fingerprint scanner. It will have a 60MP front camera and a 50MP rear sensor. The device is tipped to pack 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
