Realme GT5 Pro’s new teasers promise “new era of low-light telephoto images”, bigger battery

Realme is expected to launch the GT5 Pro as the first proper flagship soon. Yesterday the company teased a 3,000 nit screen, and today Realme says “a new era of low-light telephoto imaging” is coming.

The company’s CMO made the claim on Weibo, but didn’t explain what he meant by that. In another post, he says the company reached 240W in fast charging with the GT5, but now it’s time for a “new peak in flash charging” with the same gear.

We expect an increased capacity, and reports suggest a 5,400 mAh cell, which would be the largest in a Realme flagship yet.

Realme is expected to use a 50 MP Sony IMX890 sensor for the telephoto camera, and leaked images have revealed a periscope lens on the front.

The GT5 Pro will have the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 to help with computational photography, so it’s reasonable to expect it to be the most capable Realme cameraphone yet. We’ll have to wait for the phone to arrive in real life to see if the phone lives up to the “new age” claims.
