Samsung demoes transparent micro LED display

Samsung is making a series of announcements at CES 2024 in Las Vegas. One of the products launched at the expo was a transparent micro LED display that “blurs the boundaries between content and reality”.

The panel has a see-through display that lets you see content and see what’s going on behind the scenes, and there’s also a short video to give you a better idea.

The product is the result of six years of research and development, Samsung said.

The company currently sells a 110-inch non-transparent MicroLED TV for $150,000, so even if it works, it will be a while before the new technology hits the market at a (somewhat) reasonable price.
