Samsung Galaxy S24+ battery life test

We put the Galaxy S24+ to the battery life test and check out the results here.

The Galaxy S24+ has a 4,900mAh battery – 200mAh more than its predecessor – and an LTPO panel for granular screen refresh rate control. However, the Galaxy S24+ has a higher resolution QHD+ display – a significant upgrade from 1080p. The new phone runs the Exynos 2400 in most countries, and it’s a unit for our test – away from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and its TSMC-built 4nm process.

The Galaxy S24+ posted a lower active usage score than its predecessor, at one hour and 20 minutes. The new phone beat its predecessor in just one, though arguably the most important, test – it scored more than 2 hours in a video playback loop. Less than 5 hours of calling, less than half an hour of browsing and less than two and a half hours of gaming.

We’ll dive deeper into the battery score in our full review, but for now, we can say that the Galaxy S24+’s battery life isn’t bad, it’s just not better than its predecessor.
