Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra tipped to exclusively use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

According to a report by Korean outlet The Elec, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset exclusively, regardless of the region it’s sold in.

On the other hand, Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will use either Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Units in South Korea and Europe will be Exynos-powered, while those in North America will use Snapdragon, more so. was in the past.

It’s a strategy that will undoubtedly polarize Samsung fans, but perhaps the three Galaxy S models aren’t as natural as Exynos or Snapdragons, depending on the region.

Samsung’s new 4nm LPP+ process is rumored to be used for the Exynos 2400, and Samsung claims the new chip will be nearly twice as fast as the Exynos 2200 in CPU and nearly 15 times faster in AI performance.

Meanwhile, the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will use TSMC’s latest node, but some reports claim that it will have versions with both 3nm and 4nm processes. We’ll have to wait until the end of the month to see how it goes.
